Hello SLA Toronto,
I am happy to present the Winter 2014 issue of The Courier. This is my first issue as editor, and I am very excited to be taking the helm of our quarterly newsletter!
In this issue, we have the first messages from our President and President-Elect, Erin McDonald and Bernadette Roca. We hear from Ulla de Stricker, who attended a lecture by Bruce Rosentein at Rotman’s School of Management back in January. We also hear from Lisa Chen, an MLIS student at UWO who attended the UWO SLA tour of the Ontario Legislature Library, Bennett Jones, and PwC during the reading week break.
We have some great events, information and learning sessions, and webinars coming up, and submissions about your experiences at any of these are always welcome. I would also like to encourage students, recent graduates, and new information professionals to share about anything you are learning, your take-aways from any SLA Toronto events, and your thoughts and ideas as you enter the workplace.
